With its artistic touch, the art hotel "Der Wilhelmshof" is unique in Vienna. Personal charme and the exceptional ambiance create a fascinating atmosphere for the guest, full of elegance and balanced harmony.

Together with the famous Viennese artist Ty Waltinger we have developed a concept to present a house full of poetry, history and art in an unusual way. Ty Waltinger works with genuine, sometimes very rare and precious pigments that give his works a rarely-seen luminosity. Impressively large pigment pictures in the dining rooms, painted lamp shades and exclusive stereograms in the rooms develope the art hotel "Der Wilhelmshof" into a holistic piece of art.

Already in 2010 the artist impressed with the project "5 steps to heaven" - the artistic redesign of the 5 mezzanines. Individually and imaginatively they have been restaged - with skillfully applied unique item, impressive lightning and unusually designed artworks embedded into lucite, worlds are created that invite the viewer to no only stay and enjoy, but also enter them and lose himself for a short while in these manifold structures of time and space.

The concept, which is an experience for the senses, has enthused our guests and staff members. Most of them prefer to walk through the corridors.  In many details, the artistic design shows grandeur and a loving, personal touch. Imaginative places and artworks of all kinds can be found everywhere. They all aim at creating a stimulating blend of old Viennese elegance and modern design. It gives the guests of our hotel a piece of Viennese soul which they will remember.

This special blend is exactly what distinguishes the certainly extraordinarily fresh hotel in the heart of Vienna from the often cool and modern design hotels. We believe that art can and should be an inspiration and invitation to discussion, but first and foremost, it must contribute to the comfort, to the well-being and to the pleasant stay of our guests.
